“The die is cast,” exclaimed a jubilant member of the newly formed Parliament of the Republic of New Ravinia.

Like Caesar crossing the River Rubicon in pursuit of Pompey, the Parliament declared that New Ravinia will formally declare its independence from the United States of America on August 8, 2010, the night that the Four Tops and the Temptations play at the popular Ravinia Festival.
