Full Fathom Five: Our Weekend Picks

1. WILMETTE- Oh sure, now the local press has picked up on Seymour Rifkind and his remarkable story of training for the Badwater Ultra-Marathon.

Stories were posted on Thursday in the  Pioneer Local and the Triblocal…

But we’ve been on this story for over 40 years. Here’s a quote from Reflections ’69, The Niles East Year Book. “Two important goals were set by Seymour at the start of the year and he attained both of them by placing first (in the State) in parallel bars and All-Around.”

Seymour in 1969!

So, come on out to The Wilmette Theatre on Sunday, October 25 to see the film and hear Seymour speak about the power of human potential.

Here’s what Tom Mastandrea, President of Human Resources Concepts, Ltd. had to say about one of Seymour’s recent presentations:

Almost all of us have dreams that seem out of reach. Maybe just beyond our fingertips, or maybe so wild that we know they will remain just that – dreams. …We content ourselves with “Would’a,” “Could’a,” “Should’a,” “If Only,” “Someday.”Seymour Rifkind has been there and come out on the other side… He shows us how our limiting beliefs stand in the way of achieving the greatness that is in each and every one of us. Once you listen to Seymour talk, you will never be the same.

From the Downhome Sophisticates myspace page: Our instrumentation is probably what you would hear out of a bus depot in Atlanta before 1955.
