Feeling purple?
11 AM Saturday
Northwestern University Football vs. Towson.

Northwestern Wildcats
Look for a metamorphosis from QB Mike Kafka – this year look for him to come out of his shell. NU football is a real treat. It is old school…in a good way. The Northwestern Wildcats play Towson at Ryan Field, 1501 Central St., Evanston. (map) Tickets are $15-35 More information: 847-491-2287
Pizza, music, and classic cars…And it’s all kosher…
Danali’s on 4032 W. Oakton in Skokie…just a block west of Crawford has got it going on all weekend (except for the Jewish Sabbath, sundown Friday til sundown Saturday).

Ruby Harris....(rubyharrismusic.com)
9 PM-ish Saturday night…Ruby Harris, the king of the blues violin performs at “Club Danali’s.” Music begins one hour after the end of Shabbos. Tzeit Hakochavim or nightfall is 7:53. So 9:00 PM should be a good bet. As is the Brick Oven Pizza. It’s BYOB and it rocks…
6-9 PM Monday is Danali’s last car show of the season. Classic, vintage, antique and just plain funky cars fill the lot. Click here to see a preview.
More classic cars…
Supercar Saturday at the Glen Town Center. 9-11 AM, Saturday. Car enthusiasts of all types will come together to meet, share stories and make new friends. Everything from classics and muscle cars to exotics and modified contemporary cars. Free. map

Want to stretch your legs with Mother Nature?
Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve is
part of the redevelopment of Fort Sheridan just north of Highwood and South of Lake Forest along Lake Michigan, and it is a gorgeous spot to do some walking or just hang out on an unspoiled beach by the lake. You can even take your dog. If you don’t believe us, take a look at the photos we took there. (map)
