Sara Barron grew up in Highland Park, graduated from NYU where she majored in Theatre and Art History, and went on to do stand-up. She created a one-woman show, People Are Unappealing, which became her break into the literary world when Sara got an email from a literary agent dealing in books about “women with New York stories.” People Are Unappealing is the result. Barron’s humorous essays about family, growing up the suburbs, her college years and life as an aspiring actress are wickedly funny.
